WISC-4 Test

The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV) is an individually administered clinical measurement tool used with children aged from 6 to 16 in order to measures their cognitive abilities.

There are 15 subtests and 5 spare subtests on the WISC-IV. Basic subtests; verbal knowledge, Verbal comprehension, perceptual reasoning and organization, social knowledge, short-term auditory memory, attention, concentration, mental processing speed, visual-motor and fine motor coordination skills.

 

WISC-IV is not only an intelligence test; but it helps children to be interpreted in many ways by experts. The WISC-IV test provides important clues to experts in identifying or better understanding many psychological problems. It helps to recognize potentials, to detect intellectual giftedness, learning difficulties, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, failure at school, perception and comprehension difficulties, school adaptation problems, introversion, social concerns, school phobia, lack of self-confidence, communication problems, test anxiety, enuresis, stubbornness, aggression, disobedience, impulse control disorders, escape from home / school….
